Orthopedic Surgeon
I moved to the Decatur area in 2000 with my wife, Mary, who was born and raised in Mt. Zion. I graduated from DePauw University and then served in the U.S. Army. My pre-med studies were at Millikin University, and I received my medical degree from Southern Illinois University - School of Medicine in Springfield, IL. After completing my Orthopedic Surgery Residency in Springfield, IL at the Southern Illinois University program, I completed the Adult Reconstruction Fellowship at the University of Chicago.
I was originally inspired to go into this field of medicine after sustaining an injury and receiving excellent medical care. My interests include complex and revision joint reconstruction, general orthopedics, and trauma surgery.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Mary, and our three children. I also enjoy playing music, exercising, reading, and movies.
